Odete is a DJ, producer and artist from Lisbon on a creative mission of catharsis and liberation; equally at ease amid the intricacies of industrial techno and noise, but also reggaeton or the dancefloor in general. In her work (which ties in intimately with her personal story and her journey as a trans woman) there is a sonically patent connection with borders, emotions, misunderstandings and empowerment processes. She is one of the strongest and most active voices in the capital’s increasingly celebrated and healthily diverse electronic music scene.
