Raw Forest is the alias of Lisbon artist Margarida Magalhães who, for several years now, has been developing a very unique kind of immersive electronic music, informed not only by the traditions of ambient and new age music – with glimpses of Brian Eno and friends’ fourth world – but also by a very contemporary way of using hyper-digitalization in both sound and imagery. This year, through the increasingly defining Labareda label, she released ‘Post Scriptum’, a piece which will certainly carve out its own place in the tale of dependency, escapism and confusion to be told about our Internet era.
