JOHN T. GAST
A vaguely mysterious British individual who initially appeared on the horizon as part of the abstract militia linked to Hype Williams and Dean Blunt. In the meantime, rumor has it that he has been roaming the coastal areas of Southern Portugal, between the waves and land, where he has carried on with his encryption work, analytical iconography and other “dereferencialization” techniques (yes, we just made that term up). He works with multiple recording sources, live musicians that turn up as if spontaneously, depending on the allies he has on the ground when the time comes to perform. He also became important for making a point of being so vaporous at a time when there was such an obsession with different types of overlaying processes. Each time he records or appears on stage, he offers up visions in which time and space as clear-cut realities seem to disintegrate, in an attempt to create parallel worlds and sensations. A total geek, of course, and that's why he’s on the menu.
